Shinjuku Incident [新宿インシデント] is a 2009 Hong Kong film starring Jackie Chan and directed by Derek Yee. Filming began in November of 2007. The film was produced by Chan's own film company, JCE Movies Limited. On July 16, 2007, it was officially announced that Chan would take part in the project.
It was stated in many press reports that the genre of the film would be closer to drama than Chan's trademark action. Director Derek Yee reportedly said, "People are too familiar with the image of a fighting Jackie Chan. It’s time for him to move on to drama."In a recent interview, Chan himself describes the film as, "maybe one per cent action. Heavy drama."
The film was originally to be released on September 25, 2008 but was delayed to the first quarter of 2009. It was premiered at the 2009 Hong Kong International Film Festival and was released on 2 April 2009 in Hong Kong.p/s: I've watched this movie. So far, like this movie(saya suka drama movie sejak dua menjak ni). Kalau nak tengok the other way of Jackie Chan(mostly serious scene), tengokla movie ni. Cerita ni pasal Orang tanah besar China yang masuk secara haram ke Jepun. It's like Indonesian yang masuk ke Malaysia naik tongkang suffering nak cari makan, sanggup buat apa sahaja untuk hidup,or more specifically nak makan. Nak buat kerja halal tak boleh sebab pengenalan diri tak da, n stuff, so dah nama pun pendatang haram dari awal, baik buat kerja tak betul sampai bila-bila. Diorang sanggup bunuh-membunuh, semata-mata nak dapatkan PR kat Japan. Last-last satu pun tak dapat.
